1. Telescopes: 

11” Autotracking Telescopes with GPS facility is available for night sky observation.  Facilities for astrophotography is also available.

 

2. Ham Radio:

A Ham Radio Station is one of the most effective communication system for disaster management during natural calamities like flood, Tsunami, earthquake, Land slides etc. A Ham Radio station is made available for the public to see how it works as well as to interact through Licensed Hams on all Thursday and Friday. For the interested public museum conducts short term courses.

 

3. Edusat:

A satellite interactive Terminal of Vigyan Prasar, New Delhi, is available for the students and general public, Educational programmes, training programme etc are available as per the schedule notified by them.

 

4. Astrovan: 

The service of 'Astrovan', which consists of Telescopes and a mini planetarium is available for any place where planetarium shows and right sky observation are required.  This is intended for the most marginalised section of the society who does not have the previlage to visit the Museum.

 

5. MSE Units :

Two Mobile Science Exhibition unit on Astronomy and Science consisting of 24 interactive exhibits each are available with Igloo planetarium to out reach scientific activities among rural public. An amount of Rs. 3,000/- will be levied as rent for educational institutions (Two days exhibition including Igloo Planetarium)and Rs. 2,000/- per day for other institutions (Excluding Igloo Planetarium).

 

7. Library (Air conditioned)

A modern technical Library with more than five thousand books in different fields of Science and Technology is functioning in the campus. A reading room with internet facilities is also available. A garden reading facility with a butterfly park and cactus park for the visitors to grasp the books in harmony with nature is being arranged.

 

 

 

Amphitheatre : 

 

An Italian style Amphitheatre in the open air with a seating capacity for around 400 is being developed. Scientific and cultured activities (related to education) can be performed in the evenings.

 

 

Talent Development Programme: 

In order to develop the scientific and technical talent in the Young minds, practical oriented classes are conducted regularly.

 

C.V.Raman Centre for Basic Astronomy: 

In order to nurture scientific temper in the minds of common man, training in astronomy and sky watching is provided in the C.V.Raman Centre.  Six days duration Astronomy Certificate programmes are also conducted.

 

Centre for Scientific Toys: 

A large number of Scientific Toys, based on the various principles of Science are available here, which are mainly made out of low cost, scrap materials.

 

Dining Hall:

Dining hall of 100 seating capacity is available. School groups and visitors who bring food can make use of this facility.

 

 

Cafetaria: 

A modern Cafetaria with all types of refreshments and food items are available in the campus.

 

Parking Area: 

Parking Area for 25 buses and 100 cars And good number of two wheelers are available in the Campus. No parking charges is levied

 

 

 

1. A/C Seminar Hall

for educational activities. Conference halls with seating capacity of 200 with latest audio video facilities like LCD projector, lap top etc. is available Rent Rs. 11,000/- + Service Tax per day.

Seating capacity 35, with latest audio video equipments facilities like LCD projector, interactive white board, lap top etc.  The Conference hall is also rented for education activities. Rent Rs.3000/- + Service Tax per day.
